Dr Enase Okonedo

She is the Dean, Lagos Business School (LBS), and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA). Enase possesses, an MBA from IESE Business School, Barcelona and a Doctorate in Business Administration from the International School of Management (ISM), Paris. She joined Lagos Business School in 1995 after working for several years in the Nigerian banking sector. Before her appointment as Dean, Dr Okonedo held several leadership positions at LBS including Executive MBA Director; Director, Degree Programmes; Faculty Director and Deputy Dean, Academics. She was appointed a member of the management team of the School in February 2004 and a member of the University Governing Council of Pan-African University (now Pan-Atlantic University) in July 2009. She is currently the Chairperson of the Board of the Association of African Business Schools (AABS). She has extensive consulting experience notably on business restructuring and financial strategy.

Ali Mufuruki is Co-Founder of the Africa Leadership Initiative at the Aspen Institute. He is also the chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Infotech Investment Group Ltd of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He is a founding partner of East Africa Capital Partners and chairman of Wananchi Group Holdings, both based in Nairobi, Kenya. He is the founding chairman of the CEOs’ Roundtable of Tanzania. Prior to Infotech, he was the chairman of Air Tanzania Ltd and of the Audit Committee of the board of directors of the Tanzania Central Bank. He has been a trustee of the African Training and Management Services Foundation since 2009 and a Director on the board of Technoserve, Inc. since 2006. He holds a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering design. He is the founder and chairman of the Africa Leadership Initiative-East Africa, a 2001 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute, and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.

Brian Frimpong is currently the Managing Partner at Databank Agrifund Managers Limited He was formerly an employee of Emerging Capital Partners (“ECP with Head Quarters is Washington USA”), an organization focused exclusively on fund investments and management in Africa. Brian manages the investment of capital into new portfolio companies, creating opportunities for follow-on investments and managing exits for some of the fund portfolio companies Brian started his professional career as an investment banker with Salomon Smith Barney (now Citigroup) where he was involved in capital raising, mergers & acquisitions and strategic advisory for global Fortune 500 companies. Brian is an MBA grad from the prestigious Harvard Business School. He serves on the Board of Korle-Bu Family Fund and on the Board of Leul Girmay Memorial Fund, which are committed to the development of SOS-projects, under the network of SOS International, Kinderdorf, Austria.

His career spans organisations such as; Deloitte Touche, United Bank for Africa and NNB International Bank. Prior to joining Ashford & McGuire, he was Head of Strategy at NNB International Bank Plc where he led corporate and strategic change initiatives.

She is actively involved in managing various community development projects. Highly strategic and well experienced in project planning and management, Orode is the Chief Executive Officer of McCrae & Co, an education and community development consultancy firm and has undergone courses in Applied Scholastics teacher training technologies and methodologies. She is also the Chair Person of the House of Refuge Board, an NGO under the Freedom Foundation umbrella which focuses on promoting social reform and human security through programs in education, drug rehabilitation and HIV/ AIDS

He has functioned in diverse executive roles locally and abroad, and currently Heads the Leverage Capital and Debt Financing unit of Rand Merchant Bank. His career spans organizations such as; Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Wachovia, Actis Capital LLP, and Quantum Capital.
